Family Council Update:

MFC welcomes Jim Hansen as
Pastor Church Network Coordinator!

The Minnesota Family Council is pleased to announce that Jim Hansen has joined the Minnesota Family Council to head up our church outreach efforts.  After serving as deputy to former Minnesota Secretary of State Mary Kiffmeyer, and working with the Republican Party of Minnesota, Jim will serve as Pastor and Church Network Director.  In his new role, Jim will continue to build our statewide network of over 1,000 pastors and churches, equipping them with biblical worldview tools and training in Christian citizenship.

“The mission of the Pastor Church Network is to come along side pastors and churches and serve. Think of Minnesota Family Institute as being in the next office ready to provide faith-based resources for family, marriage, sex education, counseling, and other family issues,” he concluded.

For example, due to overseas deployment of Minnesota military personnel thousands of Minnesota children have been without one or more parents for more than a year. Thousands of spouses have been without the local support of their spouse. They are fighting a battle on OUR account and are sacrificing many things. They live with constant fear that their parent or spouse may never come home or if they come home they may be severely injured. They are doing this because their spouse or parent is defending our freedom. Their families, which include more than 7,000 children, are exhausted, emotionally and physically.

They need your help, NOW!

“I am excited to take on this new challenge,” says Jim.  “For a long time I've been convinced that God wants his people to be involved in the public square.  This new position allows me to combine my knowledge and expertise in politics with my deep love for the Lord and equip churches to more effectively serve Him in our communities.”

Jim has requested prayer for God’s favor as he works to engage pastors and churches in Christian worldview and citizenship training.  He would also appreciate you help him in reaching local churches and encouraging members to become active in this vital effort.

Feel free to contact Jim at jim@mfc.org or by phone at 612-789-8811 Ext 211.

Jim can't do this without prayer and financial support.

Thanks to generous donors who strongly believe in this initiative, we have received a $35,000 grant to launch the outreach.  But to ensure success, please consider helping Jim as he reaches out to churches across Minnesota.
