Items to
include in your email:
- Express your
disappointment that the school district taught a lesson promoting same-sex
families even after parents had requested their children not be exposed
to pro-homosexual material - before the school year started.
- Since parents
made their request prior to the start of the school year, and the teacher and
the principal ignored their request, the parents should be allowed to
transfer their children to another class.
- Share your
disappointment that school officials did not immediately inform the
parents of MN State Statute 120B.20 when they made their first request. MN State Statute 120B.20 allows
parents to review material in advance and decide whether to remove their child
from the lesson.
- Express your
concern that the promotion of homosexuality by the teacher undermines the
parents and teaches children not to listen to their parents.
- Point out that
the teacher and school have created a learning environment that promotes
disrespect for parents and traditional values.
- Express that the
material is inappropriate for second-grade children.
- Point out that teaching pro-homosexual
material is harmful to children for several reasons.
1)
It raises sexuality issues at an age when children are not
morally or cognitively equipped to address these issues.
2)
It plants the suggestion that a child may be homosexual if
they like a same sex person.
3)
Reading pro-homosexual affirming material predisposes
children to embrace an extremely unhealthy and destructive lifestyle, noted for
its high incidence of sexually transmitted disease and other medical issues.
Help us get these children
transferred to another class and expose the pro-homosexual agenda in our public
schools
